Hello! My name is Dr. Benjamin Holmes. I have been interested in the field of chiropractic ever since I was a teenager. I remember attending a few lectures at Palmer College of Chiropractic with my dad, Dr. Tim, when I was younger and being fascinated with concepts taught in the classes.
Now that I have become a chiropractor I continue to be fascinated by chiropractic and the ability I have, as a chiropractor, to promote my patients’ health. I have also become increasingly fascinated by my patients’ ability to promote and sustain their own health through consistent performance of simple exercises – a phase of care called “active care”. Since opening my practice I have found that patients who take an active role in the promotion of their own health seem to get better and stay better. Thus, active care has become a major component of the treatment regimen I provide my patients.
As a small synopsis of my background, I graduated from Brigham Young University with my Bachelor’s of Arts in philosophy and a minor in physics, and I graduated cum laude with my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. As part of my chiropractic training I completed a preceptorship at St. John Medical Center in Longview, Washington, where I worked as an intern with the hospital chiropractor and in concert with medical doctors and physical and occupational therapists. I am a husband and father of
four, and I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy running, and I have completed a number of marathons. Running helps keep me healthy and happy.
I understand chiropractic to be a powerful means of promoting health, and I look forward to utilizing all I have learned of the body’s anatomy and function as I work together with you to address and resolve your condition.
I look forward to meeting and helping you.
Dr. Ben
